But the title of today's or kind of the topic for today we're going to talk about is perseverance as it relates to the compassion method.

And the impetus for today's podcast is several conversations that I've had in the last few weeks with students of the process, even consultants that work with others in the process, talking about just a feeling of kind of feeling stuck or perhaps even that they've regressed from where they began.

And the first thing I kind of thought about as, as these guys were telling me these things is that the compassion method process is actually very simple.

And where I love the simplicity, cause I was listening to a, uh, audio book here recently and it's really good audio book.

And it was, it was kind of helping people through some emotional health issues, but man, it got kind of heady and it got in, it dabbled in a lot of different solutions or that's funny i

was just um uh going over like someone's website that has emotional health and just like you know curious what they do and it was really good stuff but the exact same thing it was so heady and so much knowledge and so many steps to do that i was like wow this is like very complicated and one of the problems with complicated not only can it become confusing But it doesn't create consistency.

And so when you can keep it simple enough, even though it is challenging, like you said, and it can be difficult at times, but if we can keep the process as simple as possible, we can create more consistency.

Well, there's this quote that I've heard in the past that says, I would have written a shorter speech.

So Laura, thank you for creating a very simple process to help us take care of our hearts.

So these feelings of being stuck or regressing, I was trying to, with the people I was talking to, I said, this is actually very normal and it's very good.

And I think what ends up happening to people is they keep thinking that there's this place of where they're going to arrive.
