As of right now, time of recording, there's not a lot of news going on, which is always great.
There are a few things I do want to mention, though.
Starting September 14th, the Rescue Creek area is going to be under construction.
Now, most of you may not know Rescue Creek, as it's not been accessible since 2022.
The floods washed out a bridge that was a great little path to a hiking trail there, and nothing's happened since.
Starting on September 14th, they're going to be starting construction to rebuild the bridge, and that will eventually open up this awesome hiking trail.
It's not really important to anybody's visit.
It's near Gardner.
You have to walk to get to where that is anyway through the washout area.
So most park visitors right now are not seeing this.
But this is very exciting for hikers.
I will be talking about this in the future.
And as this updates, I will be telling you all about it because I love the Rescue Creek Trail and some of the opportunities it affords.
And when it does open, this will obviously be my hike of the week.
The other news is that there are some closures going on in the park right now.
Not anything that you have to really worry about, but it's just that time of the year when things start closing.
I know, sad news.
On September 13th, Bridge Bay Campground, the Bridge Bay Backcountry Office, Bridge Bay Marina Store, the Lake General Store, Old Faithful Basin Store, Old Faithful Lower Gas Station, and the Bridge Bay Marina Services will be closed.
The gas station will will be open for pumping gas, but the building itself to go into will not be open.
On September 14th, Bridge Bay Fishing and Sightseeing Charter Stop, Bridge Bay Motorboat Rentals End, and the Indian Creek Campground closes.
On September 20th, Bridge Bay Dock Slip Rentals End, the Yellowstone Lake Boat Tours End, and the Canyon Adventure Store closes.
So there's some closures happening.
