Manly part ways with coach Anthony Seabold.
Look, this was one of those things.
It had been coming outside of the club for so long.
I just don't understand
why it didn't happen in the off-season.
It is fucking odd that they do that.
I assume it would have had to have been something to do with the way a contract was worded and what the club would have been up for.
Who knows that they didn't do it in the off-season and then manoeuvre themselves that they could make a quick exit this season for...
Or less money.
But reportedly the decision blindsided players who had been training with him the morning of the announcement.
So it blindsided them so
much.
It's important that they've pointed out that they were training with him.
Sadly, the three games in the season so far that they've played, they were not playing for him.
And we're certainly more, as I like to say, playing like a team that was trying to get their coach sacked.
And as it turns out, if you join the dots, three shit performances, coach gets sacked.
Now we're winning by 40.
Can you imagine fucking Cowboys players waking up to that news? What the fuck else do we have to do?
Look,
that's
three clubs now he's been arseholed from.
And three clubs where he probably had the talent or definitely had the talent, not necessarily to go all the way, but had the talent to do a lot better than he did.
And I think as a coach, that's the nail in your coffin.
that if you go along and you don't win premierships or you don't have continued finals, appearances or success, that can be excused with, oh, well, the team wasn't there or the players weren't there or injury crisis or whatever he was, but it seems wherever Seabs has been, the foundation was at least there.
