Yeah, if you said to me at that point which coach would've been the first one gone, it would've been Todd Payten.

And then we have Anthony Seibold and, um, Shane Flanagan gone, and Todd Payten gets a, a new deal.

It just looks like a side or a club that was never settled.

He wanted Anthony Seibold sacked.

Then they insert Kieran Foran into the business, and it was the Foran movement, wasn't it?

Yep.

It almost had three parts to this season.

At the start of it with the Seibold era, he was sacked after, uh, round four, basically the end of that.

Uh, Fozza became Sir Foz to everyone there, and basically had him looking like they were world beaters and weren't gonna lose a game for the rest of the year.

Then all of a sudden it, it just completely fell apart.

Luke Brooks was bloody fantastic this year.

Like, he d- [laughs] You're right, Skip.

He doesn't get many raps at all, and he probably deserves it, but as soon as Seibold was sacked and Fos took over and a, a playmaker, a, a world-class six in his own right, s- Luke Brooks just went to an absolutely another level.

And, um, I don't think there's any coincidence, and again, I don't think there's any coincidence where the form he had this year, when he got injured, it seemed to be the time when Manly then started to just implode.

Uh, Brett Kimmorley decided to move on due to personal reasons.

So, um, he's obviously decided off his own bat that he's gonna walk away from his involvement with the Sea Eagles.

Because, you know, it's one thing to be a head coach and, but you need the people around you, like especially the closest people around you, your assistant coaches, your head of footballs, and stuff like that.

You need to trust them, and they need to trust you, and you need to be swimming in the right direction.

And they were previously people that Anthony Seibold would've endorsed, um, and wanted around him.

Obviously, Kieran Foran got the job halfway through with minimal notice.
