Today is all about your mindset. Now is the time to do the work. It's okay to grieve the industry you once knew, as long as you get back up and keep moving forward.

This is the time when all the work that you do when things are great, this is the time when it is actually put to the test.

I was talking to, uh, another coach friend of mine, Christine Horn, and we were talking about things, you know, being a little wonky this year, uh, whether it's I haven't booked yet or, you know, she was saying just other stuff about the industry.

And I was saying, "Well, you know what? This is the time that we really get to walk our walk, walk our talk." We really get to do that.

And it's important to think that because I'm not out here just saying, you know, uh, toxic positivity or just do it when, when it's, when everything's wonderful.

This is the time that when auditions are quiet, when the industry is quiet, when we get to step up and say, "Are we really in this career as a 60-year career and not a six-year career? Are we really here for that? Or, or do we just say that because it sounds good? I'm in it f- I'm in it for the long haul." No.

Like, what are you, what are you doing? Like, what are you doing? And this is the time when you double down on mindset.

This is the time when you double down on, um, you know, other work, anything like that, instead of going into a big, big depression.

We, we, we can grieve this, this industry, the industry that we thought it was gonna be, and also understand we have to accept what this industry is.

[laughs] You know? It, it, it is, but it also can be like a t- the wonderful, most wonderful thing in the world.

I think it's important that if you've been working on your mindset, if you've been working on yourself, if you've been working on your thoughts, if you've been working, then this is the time when all that stuff has to come and play and pay off.

I do this work not because it is something that I'm like, "Oh, it feels good to say o- uh, it, on a postcard," or whatever.

You know, if you hear anything about my upbringing, I come from a very intense home that was not always safe.

You know, uh, I was in college, and I can't remember what year in college, but I just remember I was in college.
