This week's episode, I think, is a really useful episode because when we started this podcast, we...

We wanted it to reach and help people who are at different stages with their relationship with alcohol, right? And that doesn't always mean we're going to have people on that are sober.

And this week's guest, I think, is someone that sits in line with probably where a lot of our listeners are, right? I would say we have, you know, 50% of our listeners still drink.

I think out of those that still drink, they probably dip in and out of sobriety and try to be mindful and keep a grasp on it.

And this week's guest falls into that category, you know, had a big, had a big reset off from booze, like learn to navigate a lot of situations within music, being a sort of DJ and learning to go out and tackle various events and things and weddings and, learn to do it without booze and i think has openly stated when they were going sober that they would at some point return to drinking but were very aware that they needed that reset and i thought it was a great episode and i think it's it's a different take from what we normally focus on but i also think it's really really useful episode and i think it's going to help a lot of people kind of think about where they're at with

And I think the disclaimer on this one to anyone that's listening that maybe does have a problematic relationship with alcohol or is in full recovery is that this episode is definitely one about someone who is in a position where they can moderate and they can choose and they've been able to have a really healthy relationship with.

coming off of it and coming back on it and had good realizations and been able to hit their goals and be in a really good spot with it and that's a really important place for people who aren't me or you and we're very jealous of people like this because I'd love to be in a position like that but this was someone who probably realized they were drinking too much was able to curb it and actually is kind of you know time on time off and and uses it as a really interesting reset which loads of my friends do and it's something that I don't think we've really spoken about or platform too much on the pod I think sometimes we are wary of it aren't we because we're like oh we don't want to seem to be celebrating returning to alcohol but actually it's it's less about celebrating the return to alcohol and actually celebrating the complete recalibration of what you can do when you take a massive break and what you do after that is none of our business but actually this focuses in on all of the positives that come from taking a longer break trying to hit goals whether that be physical financial fitness whatever and as you say this is just a really lovely candid and honest conversation about that

exactly and just to point out i mean i think this is more food for thought for people that are still drinking and perhaps take little breaks from from alcohol to maybe give it a bit longer you know and see what you can do and set some challenges and yeah i think it's i think it's a great episode and really good chat so i will let you do the honors of the introduction my friend oh

motherfucker well on this week's they think it's also but we would like to welcome radio one legend he's a dj hero he's introduced you to more dance tunes than you could ever imagine he's a wonderful guy king of the north the fantastic mr danny howard Welcome to They Think It's All Sober, Danny Howard.
