Everyone talks about how to attract more, but almost no one talks about what happens when you actually get it. In this episode, we explore the dark side of abundance, why people often sabotage or lose…
So when people talk about the dark side of abundance, they're essentially saying that, like, when you expand, you're not just expanding in all the good things, right? Like, when everyone thinks about abundance, they think about, "Oh, well, I get more money.
I get more clients.
I have more love." Like, you have the relationship.
"I have more time.
I have more, like, parties to go to, more events, more opportunities." But what else comes with more? There's also more responsibility.
There's more visibility.
There's more people counting on you.
It's requiring you to be maybe misunderstood.
There's all these other things that come with the thing that it is we want, which is why a lot of times we don't actually end up being able to hold onto this thing, 'cause we say, "Oh, well, I want a million dollars.
I want all the clients", right? And so when you ask for those things and then you receive it, you all of a sudden feel really overwhelmed because all of a sudden now, well, you have to manage maybe a team of people, or you now have to fulfill a certain amount of orders, right? Especially if you have a physical product, it sounds great to say, "Oh, hypothetically, I get 1,000 orders," but then what does the actual logistics look like when you get 1,000 orders? Now you might be staying up all night long for multiple nights in a row just trying to pack all these orders, and that's not always gonna feel good, and you might feel stressed out and overwhelmed, and then question why you actually wanted this in the first place, right? But the beautiful thing is that you are not incapable, it is just new.
And I come back to this phrase, and I've said it in other episodes before over and over and over again, 'cause it truly is what helps get me through.
