In today's episode we talk about why if you’re tired of constantly questioning yourself and who your supposed to be, then it is absolutely CRUCIAL for you to stop letting other peoples opinions become…
Now, when it comes to just always questioning yourself and who you're supposed to be, nine out of 10 times the reason you are having these thoughts isn't because they're your own, it's because of somebody else's opinions and what they have said about us.
What they have said, whether it's through our looks, whether it's through how we have done something, how we have grown up, how we have just gone about it in a certain way, what we have worn, whatever it might be, people's opinions affect us so much to a point to where we eventually start to believe it.
Instead of hearing their voice, we start to hear our own, and we start to believe the things that they have said to us, and it keeps us trapped.
It destroys every bit of progress and motivation that we're trying to build because that's exactly what was happening with me, right? Because instead of trying to go about things in my own way, take my own path, I would let the opinions of others destroy me until I not only started to learn how to separate what other people would say and what I would actually believe, but how to then properly build that real level of trust and confidence again in order to become the person I truly wanted to be from here on out.
Because you see, back when I was around 16, 17 years old, that's when everything just really started to take a turn in my life.
I started to stop caring about myself and the world, and I started to listen to people's opinions.
I started to stop worrying about me, and I would start changing who I was as a person for the benefit of others.
And it started to make me see my own life through their eyes instead of my own, right? I would start to feel less of as a person.
I wouldn't appreciate myself, and I felt like nobody was ever going to appreciate me.
He said some things, and I forgive him now, but he said them some things I will never forget.
I always let people's opinions control so much of my life that I would never be able to make any real progress until I finally put an end to it.
I finally just stopped caring about what people said, and I started using it as a fire underneath.
I started to rebuild that trust, that confidence in myself again, and I started to take action and prove people wrong, not just for them, but for myself.
I started to thrive more than ever, and I was able to become the person I am today, all because I stopped caring about what other people said, and I started betting on myself and my own decisions.
You know, because when it comes to just constantly listening to other people's opinions, whether this is a close friend, your day one, somebody you met at school, a family member, when you sit there and you just constantly listen to the negativity, what they have to say, when they always try and just downgrade you, eventually their voice doesn't become theirs anymore.
