Everyone I speak to who starts their coaching journey and wants to start, they think they need to do a certain number of things, from maybe that's what they think is common sense or their mate does or whatever.

So when people say, "Oh, I'm gonna get my logo done and my branding," I'm like, "Don't." Like, literally don't, because where you put your time is going to steal away from where you could be putting your time and attention, and that's really important because you guys don't have an unlimited amount of time, right? We have a finite amount of time, and this is something that's really important you gotta understand, is that when we're building a business, you have to be very careful and selective with where you put your time and energy.

I've obviously done it myself, made mistakes, but I've seen people make mistakes where they invest so much time in building, making a logo, investing in this particular software, only to realize that down the track they didn't need it in the first place, and it actually didn't bring them any closer.

If you're worried about getting your certifications because you wanna do in-person personal training, sure, go for it, but you do not need cert three and four to do online fitness coaching.

And a lot of people, which is insane to me, is that I speak to them after they do their certs, and they're like, "Oh yeah, it's not teaching me anything.

I'm just getting it for the piece of paper." And I'm like, "Okay, well, you're wasting so much time, [laughs] so you could've done this way earlier." So the mindset has to be MVP, which is minimum viable product, and that is basically, like in the, in the startup world, it's like what product can we create that is the minimum effectiveness just to get it done? Just to get it done, whatever it is.
