I Turned Down a $120,000 Job Because I Loved the Gym- My Story · The Zac Perna Podcast · Radar

Why Passion Fuels Success1:40 – 2:59

1:40

Thank fuck I didn't give it up because I...

1:42

My, my best month I've made $300,000 a couple times.

1:46

Best day was $60,000 in a single day.

1:48

That shit be fucking crazy.

1:49

It's crazy to, to me when I even say it out loud.

1:51

I'm not saying that to flex, guys.

1:52

I, I'm, I'm saying that to hopefully pump you up a little bit if I can, like, inspire you because I didn't know how the fuck I was gonna make that money.

1:58

I didn't even know how I was gonna make $60,000 in a year, let alone in a day.

2:00

But all I knew was that I love this thing.

2:03

I'm passionate about helping people through fitness, and I can't ignore that.

2:06

I mean, people say follow your passions, right? And that's what I kinda wanna talk about in this video is, like, is that smart to follow your passions? And, and Hormozie talks about this a lot as well.

2:13

But I genuinely believe that it is because you have to be willing to do the work, and you have to love it and be willing to do the stuff that no one else is gonna do.

2:22

Whereas if I'm working a, a finance job that I don't like, I can't see myself going above and beyond.

2:27

And this happened in uni because I couldn't go above and beyond in uni when everyone else was working more than me.

2:31

It was so much harder for me to work more than them because I hated everything, and I would have to play mental mind games to make myself wanna do work.

2:37

Compare that with fitness coaching, building a business, I love that, so I would be more than willing to work the hours that people are not.

2:43

I mean, today, for example, it's 4:30 PM on a Sunday.

2:46

I've been working since 6:00 AM, and I've been loving it.

2:48

Not many people are doing that right now.

2:50

Everyone's enjoying their weekend like a normal human, and I'm enjoying my weekend like a fucking psycho, but that's great because that's why I'm able to do what I do, because I enjoy what I do.
