The Yarniacs Episode 383: Where are they now? — Knitting colors of fall

Charlene, what have you been stalking?

Well, in honor of the upcoming Halloween/All Souls/All Hallows/Samhain holiday, I'm stalking, no, not another pumpkin-

[laughs]

...

but cats.

I remember every year about this time, there are new pumpkin patterns, and there must already exist about 1,000-

At least

... pumpkin patterns-

Mm-hmm

... for knitting and/or crocheting stuffed pumpkins.

So, I am not stalking those, but I am stalking cats.

And I have often stalked cat sweaters, as I am the proud person of a very delightful black house panther.

[laughs] The proud person.

Yes.

I like that.

[laughs]

And the first one that I think is really cute is called The Sinister Catagan by Marna Gilligan, and this one is a two-color pattern that goes around the yoke of a sweater that pictures three rows of cats stacked on top of each other.

But they're not three separate rounds.

It's cat head, and then there's a space, cat head, and in that space on the row above is another cat head.

So, it's like three stacked rounds of cat heads.

Nice.

So, I don't know if I've described that very well, but they are just stacked on top of each other.

And it's, the sweater is done in three colors.

So there's one color above, there's an outline for the cats, and then the cat color, and then another color below.

I think I've described that properly, but of course, some of the projects people have chosen to do it in two colors or more colors.
