Rebecca PosnickGuestCarrie MattesonGuestKara RooneyGuestNikki PanicoGuestSo, Joe, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and so I thought we could dedicate some of our time on today's show to that.

Like, oh, there's pink everywhere, and there's a lot of events going on, and you've got to latch on to this.
So we're going to hear from Nikki Panico, who's going to share her own breast cancer journey.
Our other guests that we're having, we're going to hear from my daughter, Kara Rooney, who's getting her master's and researching metastatic breast cancer, especially the role of the orphan nuclear hormone receptor, DAX1, on metastatic breast cancer.
So we're going to hear two very different perspectives, the person who lived it and someone studying it and what we need to learn about it.

Yeah, a personal story and the advancement of technology and medicine to help people recover from this is really amazing.
And, you know, while we call October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so much of what surrounds it is understandably focused on women.
About one out of every hundred breast cancers diagnosed in the U.S. is found in a man.
And beyond that, breast cancer doesn't affect and impact only the person who receives the diagnoses.
