New Haven's CAMERA VIOLATION Numbers Are In

Just over two weeks, the new automated traffic cams, seven locations across New Haven.

All right.

Where are

we at? 2,700 violations.

It resulted in 673 warning letters, none of which will even be opened, sent to red light runners.

1,368 warning letters were sent to speeders.

In all honesty, I'd love to talk to someone who's like, this is effective, this can be effective.

I just don't think it's it.

I don't think it's it.

I think it's police on the road, pullovers, tickets, opportunities for you to crack wise we got to get back to the point where you get mouthy and guess what now you're under arrest where cops were kind of punk ass bitches that's how they were when i was a kid and and it was better what did you just say to me get out of the car but now we all video i don't have to i know i got my phone held up with your badge that's a bad scene Yeah, we've got our rights.

Of course we do.

I say punk ass bitch with affection, but also with a bit of a slam.

You were afraid of them because they were there to keep you safe, keep everybody safe.

And you watched your mouth.

Letters in the mail weeks later, not going to do anything.

And everything was just arrest you for whatever they, you could say, what are you arresting me for? I feel like it.

And you took it.

You didn't film that.

Not in this jurisdiction you're not.

Ever hear of a 1996 court case called Mink and Johnson? I think you know.

We're all learned.

We all watch.

I just don't see this doing anything.

709 violations still to be reviewed by the city.

That was the warning period.
