Captain's log number six.
We followed rumors leading us to the Drukhari vessel known as the Lamentful Cries, somewhere near a planet in the Regina Viam cluster known as Kaymor.
The journey to our destination proved to be a tad longer than we'd expected.
However, we used the interim to further plot our course after we deal with the Drukhari.
Our need for a healer has become dreadfully apparent, as the sickness ravaging the Imperial district has even begun to affect the clan leaders, save for Tallius.
I'd also received reports that our new batch of commandos had taken up residence in the life sustainer, and with Nazgarb's recommendation and promise of supervision, they were allowed to stay.
Holt met with and had a discussion with Confessor Frederick Clarke, and Jerichus experienced another psychic vision.
However, this time my Master of Whispers was there and experienced the same thing, curiously enough.
Tallius, leader of the Iron Clan and priest of the Adeptus Mechanicus, presented me with a box of coins converted into badges that I may use to mark members of my retinue, uh, m- members of my crew as part of my personal retinue.
As we approached Kaymor, I called a meeting with members of my command, specifically First Officer, uh, Buchanan and Holt Helselva, for their knowledge of the Drukhari and their tactics.
Once we exited the warp, we were hailed by the Adeptus Mechanicus light cruiser, the Everwritten Tome of Explorator Fleet Rorum, who explained that they had lost contact with the Steel Talon of Decusat, and asked us to try and find the vessel if we could.
We did just that, going on silent running and traversing a field of debris, looking not just for the Talon, but the Lamentful Cries as well.
However, as expected, the Drukhari are expert ambushers, and one mistake was all they needed to catch us unawares.
Now we rush to get our systems back online, to take the fight to them before they can pick us apart.
And with that, our story tonight begins with hope.
