And yeah, so again, if you guys don't know what a corrido is, in Mexico, this is a, a subgenre of music about, pretty much music about bandits and gunslingers and criminals, revolutionaries and stuff, you know, people like that, you know, in history.

And these in particular are about drug traffickers and, uh, gunslingers.

Why, why, I mean, I know, I mean, obviously corridos are s- probably the, the, well, corridos and, uh, banda and, and mariachi are, like, the three biggest, uh, you know, music genres, you could say.

Yeah, people don't wanna say that, though.

They wanna be like, "Nah, that corrido stuff's trash." But it's like, no, that's actually a very popular genre of music.

Whether you agree with it or disagree with it

... and I was thinking about it on the drive here, like, I mean, l- i- like you just said, whether you agree or not that, you know, corridos is a popular, uh, subgenre of music in Mexico, I mean, m- corridos really do kinda tell the story of Mexico.

I mean-

... it's, they're not only based on, on narcos.

I mean, I feel like the narco corridos is, like, a, another subgenre of the subgenre.

Yeah, that's true.

Um, but corridos in general, I mean, they tell the story of just, you know, a person, a place or a th- in this case, a thing, you know-

But, um, like, they, they, they kinda get a bad rap because narco corridos have kind of, you know, taken over as far as i, i- in the corrido genre-

... as being, like, the more popular, you know-

... subgenre of it.

But yeah, no, like I said, that's the thing.

These movies tell the truth.

They speak of the culture.
