Now let's dig into you and your paycheck because that's truly why we're here.
I want you to imagine that you interview to become the CEO of another company.
And after months of interviewing, finally, they tell you, you know what? We think you're perfect for the job.
We would like to offer it to you.
And you're ecstatic.
You're just excited.
And you just were like, great, great, great.
And they asked, do you have any questions? And you say, yeah, just one.
What does the job pay? And they sit back in their chair and they laugh and they say, oh, it doesn't really matter.
You know, if money's good, we'll make sure you get a paycheck.
And if it's not, then we might have to skip your paycheck or you might just get a little bit.
Or, you know, how about this? How about this? If you need money to cover an expense, then just let us know and we will do that.
And we'll just go ahead and foot the bill.
And so whenever your rent is due, utilities, whatever, just let us know.
We'll put enough in your bank account to cover that expense.
Would you take that job? Would you accept it? I definitely would not.
And if the inverse were true, if I was interviewing a CEO for my company and they were like, you don't need to give me a salary.
I'll just pull money out of the business whenever I need money to cover my bills.
Um, I'm not hiring them.
But here's the problem is that's exactly what we've done to ourselves.
Most of us have done to ourselves in our business.
In fact, we have a quiz on our website that over the years has been collecting responses.
And we look through the data just recently.
And what we found was out of about 491 responses, 56% of people said that their biggest concern was that they want to take home more money more consistently.
That is the biggest concern is their paycheck.
