After hearing multiple people in the past little bit apologize for simply feeling. For showing up in a 'negative' space. I AM SORRY. I am sorry you feel the need to apologize for being human. I am…

I have had two conversations today and I don't think it's a coincidence of people apologizing for how they feel or how they come across.

And it really made me sad to hear somebody say, I'm sorry, I haven't been in a good space or I'm sorry, I'm feeling very negative and I'm expressing negativity.

And the first thing that I thought about was, why are we apologizing for this? And like, Sagittarius moon fashion wants me to dig right down into the root of it and be like, what wound is coming up here? The wound of feeling like we need to shrink ourselves.

The wound of feeling like we were a child and we weren't allowed to express big emotion.

The wound that makes us want to display this mask of being okay when inside we are dying.

What is that? And when did we allow that to be our way of life? A lot of it, I feel, is either one, we don't think the person is going to be able to hold us fully and validate us or not judge us for feeling a certain way.

Or two, we've just gotten so good at putting walls up and not letting people in.

If you ever cross my path and I say to you, how are you doing? I don't want the good answer.

And so this is just a reflection of like, why don't we allow ourselves to open that up? And so with one of, actually both of the people that have apologized to me today for feeling or being a certain way, I've literally said to both of them, It's okay to be honest and it's okay to feel everything that you're feeling.

I'm genuinely asking, how are you doing? And I will listen and I will support you and I will be there to hold space for you.

If You have one person in your life that is willing to do that and they're asking you how you're doing, lean in fully.

I think a lot of the times we are so quick to push away support and then turn around and say, I feel like I'm not supported.

But is that true? Or is it that we won't allow someone to hold us? Because if we open up that vulnerability, will we get hurt? Will we be pushed away? Will we feel disvalidated? Like it's a wound inside.

and it's okay to not be okay like how many times have you seen that quote but like this is real it is okay if you don't look for the positive in every situation it is okay to feel what you're feeling and it be completely valid and to have someone hold space for you and not judge how you're feeling or not try to like push advice onto you or try to like change the way that you're feeling but just listen just listen and I also encourage you to be that person that somebody can come up to and be able to lean into it's it's such a safe space for somebody who is going through a really hard time and you know you're never going to know what somebody's fully carrying because they're not going to tell you everything and so if they're willing to share a little bit just imagine what else is underneath there When somebody's at a point and they are saying, I'm okay, okay is not good.
