Because the more that I work with home stagers, the more convinced I become that learning how to stage and learning how to build a successful staging business are two completely different skill sets.

I think many of us assume that if we keep improving our staging skills, our business will naturally grow right alongside them.

So when business is slow, we ask ourselves questions like, do I need another certification? Should I invest in more inventory? Should I offer more services? Should I post more on Instagram? Should I network more? Should I lower my prices? They're all reasonable questions, but what if they're the wrong questions? What if the question isn't How do I become a better home stager? What if the question is, how do I build a business around the staging skills I already have? That's what I want to explore with you today.
