S

Susan WoodcockHost

3:14

Uh, so are London shades and, you know, other styles of shades.

S

Susan WoodcockHost

3:19

And there was an article in Veranda Magazine last year, and the, um, title was, "These Are the Hottest Window Treatment Trends for 2025, Balloon Shades Included." And, uh, they said that the i- iconic '90s style is back and chicer than ever.

S

Susan WoodcockHost

3:42

I don't know if chicer or chicer.

S

Susan WoodcockHost

3:44

C-H-I-C-E-R.

3:55

[laughs] So anyway, um, so they're putting a, the stamp of approval on balloon shades.

C

Ceil DeGuglielmoHost

4:02

Okay.

S

Susan WoodcockHost

4:02

Um, and, uh, the...

S

Susan WoodcockHost

4:04

For people that have not made balloon shades in a long time, or some of our newer workrooms that are like, "Well, what exactly is a balloon shade?" There are also some cousins in the balloon shade family.

S

Susan WoodcockHost

4:17

So balloon shades are, um, gathered or pleated across the bo- a board.

C

Ceil DeGuglielmoHost

4:23

Mm-hmm.

S

Susan WoodcockHost

4:24

Board mounted.

S

Susan WoodcockHost

4:26

And then they're pulled up with rings from the bottom like a Roman shade.

S

Susan WoodcockHost

4:29

So that fullness creates, I'm gonna use the official term of poofs- [laughs]

C

Ceil DeGuglielmoHost

4:35

[laughs]

S

Susan WoodcockHost

4:36

... or balloons.
