This week, we're diving back into: Aerithim, Chapter 20 of A Slanted Reflection, where Cyrus comes face to face with the master of the Moon Dogs I've worked with my Audio Artist Zoran to infuse this…
And we'll start with inside the episode, where we rejoin Cyrus as he comes back to reality following this otherworldly storm that has arrived at the Moondog's den.
And under the attentive eye of a Moondog elder, Cyrus realizes that it wasn't a hurricane, a meteor, or the end of the world.
Now, Cyrus is brought to meet Erethium, whose very presence nearly drives him to tears, and Erethium sort of then begins to unravel Cyrus and his story.
And together they discuss, which eventually reveals new secrets about the Balguardians, and... actually revealing them that they're real beings who lived, fought, and disappeared long ago when the centuries-old Eretheme was still young.
We can tell that there are ancient pieces of a puzzle that are starting to move, and it concerns Eretheme, who knows that the wolves' tendency to live in the moment may leave them unprepared for those long-forgotten evils.
But even against this backdrop of uncertainty, Cyrus is just so out of place with the wolves that that Arathem promises Cyrus passage to one of their allies in the Edirne cities, knowing that by bringing him close to people who are more knowledgeable in this area, he can seek knowledge of Cyrus' pressing problems, which is the fire of the world's ending and his Valgardian nature, and also hopefully find some key to this uncertainty, this ancient mystery that's beginning to unravel.
