September was clearly not a quiet start to the retail season. Quite the opposite. Between the Carrefour and Delhaize trade shows, new concepts such as ShopeeZ and CRAVY, the transformation of Cora…
But September, as we both mentioned, was an incredibly big month in terms of activities, of launches, launches of obviously products, but also new concepts, new brand, new flagships as well.
I don't know if you've noticed, but Yeah, Deleuze was launching his gravy concept, the street food concept that they launched in Luxembourg.
I cannot tell you where, but it's definitely going to be happening within the frontiers of Belgium.
Carrefour was launching this new flagship with the collaboration of Trendy Foods.
And to me, the good news of this month was also the fact that Cora is in Bon Jovi mode.
actually still on schedule for their huge retail transformation because they were transforming all the locations of the former Cora hypermarkets.
And so now those galleries really become galleries, really become shopping centers.
And they decided to... for the halfway time of the entire transformation project, organize some opening weekends in all of those locations where they could actually show the entire concept.
I also went to see the concept and had a little chat with Bram Thomas, the CEO, who gave me the tour, showed me that basically the idea is to have a lot of brands, a lot of variety, a lot of things that a family can find, affordable, obviously, but also a place where you can just hang out and do a little tour and not just like one simple gallery, but a gallery where you can really just make a tour and enjoy yourself for the day as a family.
Also, a lot of pictures are available on the post that I've made at the time.
