I'm Kathleen, a former big law litigator turned early retiree.
Here we explore how to reframe our relationships with our time, our money, and our stuff.
Let's hop off the hedonic treadmill, examine all the scripts that we've inherited, and finally design a life on our own terms.
Welcome to The Reframe.
Hello, everybody.
I started this podcast in the summer of 2024 when I was working full time as a litigator still had trials to go.
And Still very much in the thick of it.
And we knew that we were going to retire in 2025.
But what I didn't know about the next two years was I didn't know that breast cancer would pop up.
I didn't know that I'd be working eight months longer than intended until the end of 2025.
I definitely didn't know whether I would be doing this podcast two years later with more than 100 episodes.
And I didn't know all the connections I would make with people.
But in the two years or so since starting this podcast, I haven't missed a week and have made a lot of friends along the way and have learned a lot along the way.
So today I'm going to give you a brief 10 things about that I've learned in two years of podcasting.
And I think that these things can be applicable to you, whether you want to start a podcast or you're just sort of reflecting on life and connections and how things change and responding to the unexpected.
So let's launch in.
