Okay so one of my friends suggested maybe I might want to rant about social medial’s “kinda chic” trend (thank Jesus if you don’t know what I’m talking about) and I felt an Aries rage rise up my spine…

Now, if you aren't familiar with this kind of chic trend, because you're not online too much like I am, let me sketch it out for you.

It's just a trend of posting a picture or a video or a photo carousel with captions that are like, it's kind of chic to followed by something the poster is proud of or enjoys or maybe just wants to normalize.

And I think it all got started in the body positivity space with captions like kind of chic to be unapologetically yourself, stuff like that.

Cute little wink about claiming pride in ordinary things or stuff you're proud of.

And morphed into just online garbage where everyone's posting their version of it.

And guys, they just get progressively shittier and it just moves into this like gibberish that doesn't even make any sense.

Shit like this is I've actually seen this one kind of chic to know the barista by name.

Oh, you mean like that person you see several times a week who makes you your coffee? It's kind of chic that you know the name.

My personal least favorite that I've seen so far, kind of chic, to drink matcha while wearing flats.

So when Jill like asked me about this and she had an example of an absolutely outrageous one that I'm not going to repeat here because it would need so much context and no one has the patience for that today.
