Episode 47: Kathryn Mather

Hello, you alright? Me and James were talking, he was like, when was the last time you came and did this gig? I was like, what, maybe like two, three years ago? 2017, innit mate? Fair dues, how time flies when you're not having fun because it's the pandemic.

Anyway, pleasure to be here, thank you for having me.

This is awesome, I love it, right? I love this club because, I'll be honest with you, you don't half got some shitholes doing this job.

LAUGHTER This isn't one of them.

This has got Emma Bunton up.

Oh, it's lovely.

I did what in central London, right? And I'm not saying that the guys running it were laddy at all.

However, their backdrop that they'd made for themselves, it was just a double bed sheet that they painted the name of the night onto.

You know, like a marriage proposal.

It's a roundabout.

Have you seen those? Where they're like, Karen, will you marry us? Out of interest, would anybody say yes to that? No, good.

I'm on your side.

I don't think I'd say yes to that either.

Because, like, I've never been proposed to before.

You know, with any level of sincerity.

Right.

But I am very old fashioned.

Like the least I'd require is for the person asking me to be there.

And

I don't want to be driving.

Oh, she's high maintenance, isn't she? Fucking hell.

But have you had a good new year? Good, I'm glad.

I've had a good new year as well, actually.

Thank you.

I actually came out to my family this year.
