Stewardship is something that we are all very familiar with.
like the term, because we work for public lands, we work with your team, but I do think that it's a word that is confusing and not everybody knows, know what it means.
So can you just give us a little bit of a definition of like what stewardship really is?

I mean, for our purposes as a team, uh, it's, it's the idea that you get to, um, a level of personal responsibility and and you want to care for um a place that you use and love i i feel like it's wrapped around the idea of connection to place
yeah that's important

um you know volunteering we have lots of people come into our program that we just want a cool project to do and you know we go and say we go plant trees with a group Maybe they will bond with this new park that they've never been to before.

But I feel like it's really powerful when you go to the park that you take your kids to and you say, oh, we love this place.

And you know what? Why don't we start pitching in? And because we feel like we get a lot from this place, why don't we give back to the place? Yeah.

Um, and some people feel empowered to do that, but I feel like in general, sometimes there's a disconnect of like, what can I do? And I, I feel like our team really, our goal is to try to facilitate those opportunities for people.

Um, and if you're wanting to give back to your park, here's, here's a way that we are facilitating to do that.

But ultimately, what if you meet some of your neighbors at that session? And then there's actually some level of community connection and, you know, building that's happening.

I would love to see more of it because, you know, we have people coming from all over to to serve in our parks.

And I love like sharing that with with folks like, you know, who's been on at this park before.
So, you know, they're

just learning about new places, but I think that it's really powerful where it's your place.
