All right, everybody.
Who's got their giant coffee ready?
I don't, unfortunately.
I've got my water.
Hmm.
Boring.
Oh.
Man.
You guys both have fun drinks.
I saw, I saw something today that said if you invested $10,000 with Monster Energy, the, you know, the energy drink company, $10,000 in 2001, and what it would be worth today.
What?
Guesses?
Oh, how to invest-
Oh, yikes.
So if you, if, if you took $10,000 and put it in Pepsi, n- now it would be worth, like, I think it was, like, 30,000.
5 million
... it'd be worth, like-
5 million
... 100,000.
If you put $10,000 with Monster, it was worth $12 million right now.
Wow.
Yeah.
Wow.
That's crazy.
Yeah, I...
Wow.
Yeah, I don't really...
I have my person that handles all those investments, but like, for me, but that's so wild that Monster...
Wow.
Clearly-
Yeah
'Cause no one knew 'em then.
But I also feel like Monster owns...
I think I've heard...
Where did I hear this? Monster owns other entities too.
Like, there's other products that we wouldn't think of that Monster owns, I believe.
I think Monster-
I thought so too.
I think so.
Yeah, something like that, but-
Well, maybe, maybe, well, maybe that's the case.
Maybe Coke did buy them and that's when their s- stock went up, because what happens if you own a stock and they get purchased, you keep your stock, right? It just-
No, they're, they're publicly traded.
Oh, okay.
So yeah, so that's, that was probably a good day for Monster investors.
[laughs]
Yeah, for sure.
Um, but it's just crazy to think, like, um, you know, 'cause we think of, like, the soda market as, like, static, but Monster is soda.
You know what I'm saying? It's just, uh-
[laughs]
Yeah
... it's Mountain Dew, more Mountain Dewy.
It's just so...
Yeah, it's just interesting to me that, um...
And I think there's some companies now that are, that are doing that.
You know, David Protein Bars, um-
Yeah
...
I'm considering investing in that because they came out with these...
And I can't even eat them.
[laughs] But like, just seeing what they're doing now with their, their protein bars.
They have the, um, they have a, uh, a patent that they own that no one else can use on the type of-
Oh
... fat that they use in their protein bars that is, um-
Mm-hmm
... not digestible, but it also doesn't break down in the, in the system like Olestra used to.
Getting way off-
Yeah
... topic here.
But so like, they're able to make their protein bars lower calorie, but they're coming out with a whole line of foods, ice creams-
Hmm
... and all these things, and it's like, man, I'm, I'm just thinking, like, getting on the ground floor of Monster.
Oh, yeah.
No, I'll have to talk to you about that 'cause I, I like their bars too.
Like, I had one this weekend when we were in the car.
Like, I, I think the macros are great, and I know some people are like, "Oh, should you trust the macros?" I mean, I think if you've had a David Protein Bar, in my opinion, it, it does not taste too good to be true.
Um, but I like them because I feel like I've kind of...
My taste buds have acquired...
Like, I don't like s- overly sweet things anymore.
Hmm.
So I like the David Protein Bars a lot for that reason.
Um, but yeah.
