And I was thinking about how easy it is to refer someone in a trade where you know what they do, like a plumber or like somebody that does HVAC, like furnaces and air conditioning.

So when someone in your life needs a recommendation on a plumber, you think, oh, I know a plumber.

And whenever anybody's furnace goes out or their AC isn't working, I always refer him.

And so I think about people with health and wellness service businesses and how that isn't the case for most people.

Because we think, and I say we as the collective people in the holistic health space, we drastically overestimate people's understanding of how the body is connected and how we support people to get results in various aspects of their health with whatever modality it is that is the service that we offer.

And so as a nutritional therapy practitioner, I know that this was a really huge, I don't want to say issue because it really wasn't an issue.

I actually thought it was a really fun part of marketing my business, but it was a huge area where I could see there could be a lot of misconceptions.

when I was explaining to people what a nutritional therapy practitioner did and what type of work I did and what type of person people in my life should refer to me.

Again, super easy if you're a plumber, you got leaky pipes, if something's wrong, you know that you need a plumber and you know who to ask for.

But if you have insomnia or if you have chronic heartburn, What is that, right? I mean, I guess we could say that is still the plumber in a different way.
