In terms of, yeah, so what has been going on, what do I want to talk to you about today? Yeah, so as you know, I have been a coach accountant and one of the things that I help them with is on the marketing side.

And no doubt for you, one of the big challenges was either be getting new clients or getting good people and ultimately those two are going to be our biggest problems ever so whether you are just starting out or whether you are a big accountancy firm like pwc you're only ever going to have two major problems two kind of macro problems as it were yes it feels like you've got a million more problems when you're in your practice but actually when you zoom out you're only going to have two big challenges one getting clients to getting good people.

So that in itself is cause for reflection to think, okay, well, if there's a two big problems I need to have, I will ever have, I need to make sure I'm spending most of my time and energy in the pursuit of overcoming either one of those two problems.

So if you've got the clients, then you're going to need people to serve as a client.

If you've got the people sitting there with capacity, you're going to need to get clients.

So your goal is to make sure that you have managed to take everything else off your plate as much as possible.

So you can spend time making sure that you have the right systems in place to be able to be working on your biggest challenges.

And I usually, as the founder of your business, as the leader, if we can continue, If you're listening to this, the likelihood is that you are a sole practitioner or you're a budding practitioner or you're a partner in a very small firm, two to three partner firm maximum.

So no doubt, even if you get to two, three, four, five million, those are always going to be your biggest challenges.

So we need to make sure that we are set up in a way that we can get rid of everything else on our plate because other people can do that.

And if you're still listening to me and doing client work and doing client relationship, if you're on your own, that's fine.
