yeah so that was interesting because I was very adamant on with Ari of having a natural birth I was very close-minded so not having a natural birth but This time around with Rora, I opted for an elective cesarean.
And it was a process for me coming to that decision.
But that was the plan in the end that I felt really good about.
So that made you feel good.
That made you feel safe? Made me feel safer.
I was still very scared.
But yeah, I wanted to do that too.
avoid the risk of having an emergency cesarean if I went for a VBAC.
Yeah.
So my main goal for this birth, the, the, priorities sort of changed for me.
I just wanted to be awake when Rora was born and I wanted to be not depressed.
So I just wanted to be okay enough afterwards.
So even things like, you know, not getting enough sleep because I'm in labor, even little things like that came into my decision just because I've had to work so hard now to be okay mentally.
Yeah.

So I was really happy that I came to your class.
A, we wanted to do something together, Harry and I, so that he felt that he was included in all of us, you know, being a first time dad.
And I also, I still had fear, a lot of fear, and I wanted to figure out a way to be as calm and capable as I could be even with the cesarean.
I really needed that in the days leading up to it because, oh my gosh, the buildup was just, especially knowing the date at the end, that was a bizarre feeling.
And also there was always the chance that I'd go into labor early.
I had a seven hour labor with Ari.
