Arquella HargroveGuestWhat's the difference between change that just happens to a culture and change that's chosen?

And sometimes people, you know, inherit cultures where by default that definitely they had no say over, no say.

design, if you will, but again, a culture that's chosen is one that is set up by design where, again, there's communication that goes out about what the look and feel will be.

There's getting the voices into the mix, being able to have policies and procedures that are beneficial for all employees.

But again, it is when it's chosen, it's set up by design because now leaders and teams have an opportunity to be a part of what that design looks like
yeah that's such a great distinction because I forget sometimes when we're in this industry of wanting to design culture that you know sometimes it's inherited so how you set up or change culture
is really predicated in some ways based off of what was inherited exactly exactly And sometimes it can take, you

know, if you inherit a particular type of culture that needs to be kind of restructured and shift, definitely can take longer and a lot more patience.
And where are you seeing in terms of when you, you know, serving in hr capacities when we're looking at leadership in organizations and in teams where you know a chief people officer chief hr officer is someone who really is at the forefront of maybe protecting culture while there are other leaders in the organization who are actually really driving culture what is that connection point you know from an hr lens

I mean, it's everyone's responsibility, really, right? And a lot of times we say that leaders are the carriers of culture.

Definitely HR is there to help to drive it and help with working on that change readiness.
