I feel like I should take the first overall pick, 'cause I do want you to pick for your New York Jets and say what you think will actually happen.
I mean, I know even when Kirk Cousins signed with the Raiders, he even said in his press conference, "I'm really looking forward to mentoring, uh, Fernando Mendoza." So it's all but confirmed that Fernando Mendoza will be the number one overall pick.
It is the only thing in this draft that we know for sure, and I don't remember the last time that we got to even the number two pick and just had no idea what was going on.
Really since the second Dante Moore went, uh, said he was going back to Oregon, we knew Mendoza was going first, 'cause the Raiders really don't have any other choice here.
So congratulations early from us to Fernando Mendoza for earning this number one overall pick on the back of a Heisman Trophy and a national championship, and I still think it's a good fit with Clint Kubiak, and it's gonna be really fun to go through these three rounds and see what else we can add to this Raider team to support him.
