Ep. 217 New Lawns and What to do in the Garden in August

Let's get back to the lawn.

All right.

So, this is all coming from a question, uh, from Stephanie in regards to, uh, her ...

She wanted to, um, make a natural lawn with clover and fescue.

So we talked a lot about that in the previous hour, so if you missed that, uh, it will, Monday afternoon you'll be able to download it, get the information.

I have moved on to this point to talk about grass to put down.

I started talking about RTF grass seed.

RTF is a rhizomatous tall fescue.

As you can tell, they, they, they name it RTF because it's easier to say.

It's a great product.

Now, I was actually out in the western part of Massachusetts, um, not this past week, the week before, and I was out for an MNLA event.

So Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association has their summer conference where they have a, um, they have a number of speakers.

There's lots of, uh, information.

It's at a different site each season.

And this year was at Savage Farms in, um, Deerfield, Massachusetts.

Right? So the western part of the state.

And I'll tell you, it was awesome.

I learned so much and saw so many different things that it was just like, wow.

And I go to these trade shows every year.

I'm part of the board of directors for MNLA, and I usually get a few things.

This year, I made it my mission to go to some of the te- talks, listen to more people around, and actually sneak out on the grass and see some different areas.

I didn't run through the grass.

I wish I did at this point, but I'll tell you, it was amazing.

Now, I'm bringing this up because they have this RTF sod, not just the grass itself.

So if you're looking for the seed, it is a product from Barenbrug, which is B-A-R-E-N-B-R-U-G.
