Welcome to The Nourished Nervous System, an exploration of stress, the nervous system, and resilience for parents and other humans through the lens of Ayurveda, somatics, herbs, and a whole lot more.

I'm your host, Kristen Timchak, an Ayurvedic health counselor, stress and resilience coach, somatic stress release practitioner, and mother of a tiny human.

Please join me for information and insights, deep thoughts and small steps to help you nourish your nervous system.

And this week's episode, I have a guest, his name is Charlie Baldwin, and he has spent the last eight years taking breathwork and meditation into some of the most unlikely places, university campuses, law enforcement agencies, re-entry programs for incarcerated people and faith communities.

And he's He teaches through the Art of Living Foundation and is based at the Retreat Center in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

And one of the things I loved about this conversation with Charlie is just his warm, approachable approach.

He's very non-dogmatic and really speaking about these practices from a place of embodied practice.

And so he's really teaching from that place, which is so beautiful and potent.

And so in this episode, we talk about bringing breathwork into law enforcement communities.

We talk about the effects of technology and how breathwork can be an antidote, as well as the pros and cons of technology in wellness spaces.

And as always, just a reminder that this podcast is purely for entertainment and educational purposes and should not be considered health or mental health advice.

Anything said should not be taken as a replacement for medical, clinical, professional advice, diagnosis, or medical intervention.
