Investigative journalist Kath O'Patter is my guest today, and he'll be telling us about the extensive research that he's carried out for his book, Scam Nation.
Kath went undercover into this shadow world to learn about how teenage fraudsters use tools like AI, encrypted messaging, and social media platforms to extort people's money.
Artificial intelligence and the rise in deep fake technology means not only can you clone numbers, so I could clone your number and pretend to be you, Alfie, but I could also, with enough information and patience, clone your voice.
