Yeah, I was doing a big coaching for a bunch of executives, and when I said that, this guy was like, "That's my story.
You know, I turned down a job promotion about 10 years ago to be the CEO of this company because my, uh, my kids, they're teenagers."
"And I was like we've only got about seven, eight good years left with them," he said.
"So I turned it down.
Money stayed the same.
I could have really increased our financial, uh, in- income.
The last kid just left the house." He said, "The company came back to me," and he's like, "The company's grown about three times since then." He said, "You wanna be the CEO now?"
So his income's gonna really increase, but the kids are out of the house.
He's like, "God brought it back in a more glorious form, but it's because you made the right sacrifice at the right time."
