Property taxes.

And that's been on my mind.

So last year, last session, I have to be very clear.

I was one of 40 that voted no on the 7% increase.

Governor Scott.

would have liked it lower but you have your group of people that fight you every inch of the way and i don't want to say democrat republican but it was not my party um i don't like to use that all right let me

figure that out not your party so let me see if i can figure that out all right so

so We tried, and we lost, obviously.

The 7% passed.

I'm right there with Governor Scott.

He needs to be reelected.

He thinks like I do.

We've got to get budgets below people's cost of living.

I got 2.5%.

My husband got 2.5%.

And we need to get the budgets under 3%.

We can't keep fighting these large budget increases.

All right.

Now, Brenda, let me ask you this.

You know, we have a lot of candidates on both sides right here in the studio, and we're glad that we do, Republican and Democrat.

And Democrats have said, not just in this studio, but across Vermont, have been saying, look, if you're unhappy about property taxes, as you said, or about the rising costs of health care or about the rising costs of housing, What they've said is, if you're concerned about that, who's been governor for all these years? Ten years while the prices have been skyrocketing, going up and up and up.

He's been the governor.

He's the one running the state.

And we're just a part-time legislature.

So don't they have a point there?
