For me, the definition of a practice or a fee that puts your life first is establishing a life where you are mentally free.
Free of the fear, anxiety, what am I allowed to do? Permission seeking, freedom from the shackles of how your colleagues think about fees.
It's about the mental freedom you have within your personal and professional relationships.
And it's, you know, I talk with therapists who want to market their practices differently.
They maybe want to raise their fees and they go out there and learn the strategies, SEO, Google ads, copywriting.
All those things are fabulous business skills that it would serve you to learn in your practice as you're building a well-rounded business.
And the more I do this work within my business, the more I do this work really personally, the more I realize all of those things are the tip of the iceberg.
How you're marketing, what strategies you're using, what fee you're charging, how many times you see someone a week.
They are all the tip of the iceberg and the real work that allows you to earn more money and have more freedom in your life.
It's just a symbol of the limitations we experience, the caps we put on ourselves.
The more freedom you have to think, just think, to experience life fully, to be alive in the world.
The more money you can command, the more demand there is to be in your presence, to have access to your mind, to be connected to the person that you are.
And that is profoundly deep work that goes beyond SEO, that goes beyond Google Ads, that goes beyond copywriting, that goes beyond the policies you have.
All of those things are all a reflection of the deeper work you are doing as a person.
Can you address all of those things and do well without doing the deeper work? Of course you can.
But who, why would you, why? Why? What does it matter to get ready to go to SEO and have more clients coming your way if you still feel the tension in your chest? If you still feel constriction when you hear your colleagues talk about what is ethical, when you come home and have an argument with your spouse and feel invaded, shame, fear.
Who cares about earning more and having more leads come in when you don't feel free inside of yourself? It makes me think about the conversation we had with Maverick.
