'Cause I go out with this, this is this rare time that I get to go play, so it needs to be maximally productive, and it needs to, whatever.
I got 20 years of, uh, baggage of past golf, the way that golf is supposed to be or something.
So I, uh, I have to shed that baggage and, and say, "What, what do I want? How do I want this to go? Who do I wanna be? How do I want him to see me? How do, how do I want him to see golf? Do I want him to see golf as the thing that makes Daddy really grumpy [laughs] and really prickly?" Uh, 'cause at this point, I be- I would imagine he does, he does see it that way.
So at, uh, that's where, honestly, for, for, for me in this chapter, you know, in writing the book, No Junk Reps-
What started as 10 words 20-something years ago, you know, but was trimmed down just because it, it became too many steps.
But, you know, recognize, identify, align, transfer, accept, uh, are the five principle words.
You know, recognize the, you know, objectively, uh, with objective awareness in this moment, you know, what matters.
In my previous life as a ocean rescue chief, um, while I still own my performance center, uh, 3,000, 4,000 people on the beach, the calls came over the radio that there's a, um, a missing person, but it could be somebody in the water.
So you, you have to go through that recognit- and, and starting with, uh, observing the situation.
