Jul 27, 2026 · 50 min · 11 segments
Janis spent a year and a half stuck in a chair-to-chair routine before something changed. In this episode she joins us to walk through her first year of coaching - the programs that didn't work before…
Well, I would say one thing was just like six weeks in, my husband looking me in the eye and saying, I'm getting my wife back.
you go.
Because I didn't realize how lost in the bushes I really was.
And when he said that, it really dawned on me that I was even shutting him out.
just making the just making the choices I was making the six inches between my ears was really what was developing and changing, especially in that time period.
What were you going to say, coach? I was going to say, Janice, we spoke prior to this about how you're not supposed to make me cry.
And when you mentioned that just now, it reminded me of a conversation we had.
It may have been a week where I was running the group call and coach Daniel was away.
And we're talking specifically about this in terms of how, you know, managing interpersonal relationships is important.
And we had spoke about trash talk and we spoke about literal trash talk about like taking out the garbage.
Oh yeah, it's fine.
And, uh, I remember we had, I had given you a tool that I thought you may have found helpful, which was expressing to your partner like, hey, when you do X, it makes me feel Y and the story I'm telling myself is Z.
And from what I remember, it was helpful in bringing you guys closer together in having that kind of dialogue as well.
And I wanted to share that because I felt like that was something that was like one of those things that you, again, you don't get in any regular program, but it's also like kind of getting into the weeds of stuff that can also affect quality of life in a way, but also requires a degree of strength that isn't just physical.
