Ever feel like you crush it all week, then the weekend hits and everything falls apart? You're not alone, and it's not a willpower problem. In this episode, we break down the "weekend wrecker"…
I've spoken to, it's got to be hundreds of people at this point who specifically tell me, I'm in this pattern of slowly gaining weight.
But then Friday night hits, And then I kind of stopped trying or making any kind of efforts until Monday.
So I feel like I'm always starting over on Monday and I'm 10 pounds heavier than I was last week.
months ago a year ago so if you are gaining weight and things are not going according to plan on a weekend or you don't even have a plan on a weekend yeah it could be ruining your progress but what do you think coach
yeah i think you know i think this is like that archetype of like the weekend wrecker right like yeah yeah all week you're dialed in and then friday hits and everything just starts to unravel because there are social nights and wine and takeout And Monday, you feel like you're back at square one, right? And the challenge with the weekend wrecker is that this person specifically doesn't have a pressure valve throughout the middle of the week, right? And it's not just typically, I would interpret the word weekend as Saturday, Sunday, but we all know it's not Saturday, Sunday.
Or like 11 o'clock because it's 5pm somewhere, right? ends up starting call it middle of the day just for the sake of uh of comedy and you know well in the uk going out to the pub on a
friday lunch time if you work in an office that's pretty normal or at least it was 20 years ago and before that you know friday comes along it's lunch time you and your buddies from the office you go to the local pub you have a pub lunch which is normally very calorie dense you normally have a drink or two which again, maybe then people don't do this anymore, but they did 20 years ago.
And then, yeah, that definitely is going to spill into after work on Friday too.
So in the UK, you can potentially be all three meals on Saturday, all three meals on Sunday.
