In this episode, I cover, from my own experience of training over the last 15 years, what I consider to be the best exercises to build a chest, and also all the way down to the least effective ones…

Now, I think that obviously, as we know, a bench press has been the go-to kind of chest exercise for years.

It's always been the one that guys enjoy doing the most, but the biggest flex exercise are how much can you bench and stuff.

And I think earlier on when I was getting into my training, when I really built my physique back in my early twenties, flat bench was my go-to when it comes to building my chest.

I'll put a little photo on the screen of what my pec looked like once when I tore it, but it was bad.

I think... given the injury risks that you can get from this this is why i just don't recommend it as an exercise and i wouldn't put it as an s-tier exercise and i'm a little bit more wary around it and i just know a lot of people that have also torn their pet having done a flat bench press as well i mean a lot of people guys like my brother did the same thing a lot of good friends of mine have done it it's just an accident waiting to happen sometimes if you haven't got your form at absolutely dialed in you're not 100% warmed up you don't have that little slight little bit of ego that we have on your bench I think at some point you are always at risk of doing that so I wouldn't put it as an absolute top tier just simply because of that but it is still a good exercise build your chest it's an absolute old school classic and like I said back in the day when I started my training it was goat exercise I always used to do when I first started training like the first five years where I probably really love the weights the most that is one of the exercises I would be doing every week and I got strong on bench guys I think the most I got to was around I want to say I was doing like 140 maybe for like three to five reps something like that that was my peak strength but I was consistently over like 100 kilos I remember I benched 100 kilos probably when I was like probably like 19 or maybe like 20 I can't even remember the exact time now must have been around then Maybe more that, maybe when I was 18.
