We live in a world where we can connect with anyone, anytime—and yet, so many of us feel more disconnected than ever. With AI, social media, texting, and constant connection through our phones, it’s…
I have friends and they're just social media friends or they're just pickup line friends.
When you're a kid, you're playing soccer together, you're going to dance class, you're in school every day with the same people.
And so it's easy to create proximity friends because you're just doing life with those people.
And in fact, when our kids would graduate high school, we would say, your life's about to change.
Like, if you're tired of the people you've been doing life with for all these years, that's okay because you're getting ready.
Maybe it's a coworker that you see every day, and that could be a proximity relationship.
But going deeper in our adult relationships, cultivating friendship, it can really be hard because as adults we just get busy.
We don't take time to do things that maybe we would do when we were single or when we were younger.
Everybody needs us, but the truth is we have a connection that needs to be made, a deep connection to be seen as a person.
