Flagstaff Fire Chief Mark Gaillard and Casey Gonzales, President of United Flagstaff Fire Fighters, join me for an in-depth discussion about two important measures on Flagstaff's November ballot…
And it's one of those that we, we don't go out and complain about what's going on.
We go and run the calls that come and, We try not to get in the mix of complaining or airing dirty laundry out.
And so at times like this, when it comes up, I think the general public doesn't always know what we're truly going through on the police and fireside public safety.
And oftentimes, we got to do a lot of explaining in the end of what's truly going on with us.
The police show up, the fire, you know, you guys show up straight across the board on public safety, whether it's fire, police, or whatever.
And so I think we take it for granted that we live in a civilization where I mean, could you imagine throughout most of history, like, picking up a device and saying, talking into it and trying to get someone there to help you? I mean, you know, how many lives are saved because you guys can get there? I mean, Chief, what's the response time in Flagstaff?
And, you know, that's in a town with traffic like ours, we feel pretty good about what that looks like.
I let the saw go on my, on my leg while I was doing, you know, shop work or whatever.
I appreciate what you guys are doing, but it's always a tough time because I mean, it is tough times.
