In today's news, Donald Trump announced that Vladimir Putin has agreed to release Russian diesel to US and global markets, easing sanctions pressure on Moscow weeks before the US midterms. Meanwhile…
So firstly, US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that Vladimir Putin had agreed to release Russian diesel to the US and global markets, over three hundred thousand tons right away and five hundred thousand tons in November, then several million tons after that.
The US Treasury issued a temporary license that lets Russian diesel reach the world markets through to April twenty twenty-seven, only a month after Trump signed a broad sanctions law targeting Russia's energy sector.
So what? I mean, I'm gonna make a bigger video on this later today because, to be completely honest, it's fucking mental.
This completely goes against Ukraine's entire, like, military doctrine in how to make, like, bring Russia to the negotiating table for any kind of peace deal.
And it was done purely for selfish reasons for Trump's political opin-- like, Trump's political motives.
Yeah, that's the word I'm looking for, sorry.
Um, in my opinion, anyway.
I think it's likely that Trump has done this to try and drive down the price of diesel as he heads into the midterm elections, because he knows he's gonna get absolutely rinsed if he doesn't somehow fix the energy, like the co-the cost of energy in the US.
I think he's gonna get rinsed anyway, but, hey, that's just me.
Um, yeah, I-it-- I-- There's so much I want to say on this, which is why I wanna make a bigger video, but it just goes against, like, Ukraine's entire strategy.
Their path to victory, in my opinion, is through the destruction of Russia's energy sector.
One of the big things I was been reading online is that Ukraine-- um, Russia won't be able to fulfill any of these quotas anyway.
Like most of their large refineries and storage facilities are already damaged, running... either not running or running very reduced, um, refining capacity, so it's gonna be very hard for them to actually do this.
But yeah, even as a goodwill gesture to Russia, it just comes across as fucking insane to me.
I need to kinda collect my thoughts and put this all into a longer video.
Sorry, 'cause to me, it's just... it's, it's just fucking crazy.
