Madison attended an early press screening of Steven Spielberg’s newest film, Disclosure Day, and we’ve got a teaser…
This is a movie about Disclosure Day, which is the day upon which information that has been suppressed and repressed about aliens and UFOs finally gets disclosed to the public.
And this is a pretty inside baseball movie, I'd say.
This is Spielberg.
It is very Spielberg-iest.
um spielberg is a master of moving the camera around and that's very clear in this movie there are um at least two or three different long take oners that you just wonder how he's he choreographed how he choreographed his actors and blocked out the set um and it's really uh it's it's so fun to watch a spielberg movie because it's fun to just watch the camera move around um Spielberg is also really good at taking big concepts like aliens and disclosures and governments and stuff and distilling it down into really human story.
This has some of the DNA of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which on some level was a little wonky.
I thought, at least Close Encounters of the Third Kind, I thought was a little wonky.
This one, I think it's a little bit more polished, that kind of story where just regular ass people in the world have some connection to the aliens.
And that connection then precipitates a journey that they go on that then impacts the rest of the world.
In Close Encounters of the Third Crime, the journey didn't really impact the rest of the world.
But in this one, the journey certainly impacts the rest of the world.
And that's kind of the point.
