THE HOTZONE: OFFICIAL WARDOGS PODCAST
Oct 24, 2026 · 1 hr 11 min · 14 segments
Joe, Executive Producer on WARDOGS and Studio Lead, is joined by Pete (Lead Designer), Mark (Technical Designer) and Tim (Creative Director) to break down Season 2 of WARDOGS. From what went right to…
So season two came out.
In the morning, was it 8 a.m.? We take everything down at 8 and it goes up at 9?
Yeah, we're about an hour and a half down time.
So you weren't happy that we put out this update here when we said, that's it, we're going to wind stuff back.
Yeah, you felt like we jumped the gun by telling people, no, you know, we're fixing it, we made a mistake, because your view is really...
No, no, no,
I think my problem was the Saturday 9 a.m. one, where we were like, we're going to be bringing back season three.
think is a mistake for us to bring it...
Yeah, bring it forward, I think, was the mistake because it was the only thing people were talking about during the weekend.
One of your main points, though, was talking about the next season at all when you've just released the first season, or second season.
so they're just thinking oh well how much do i invest in this season if it's just going to reset again soon
the sentiment was already negative going into season two because people don't like wipes and that was the main thing people are losing progress like they're going to be upset we sped things up for the median player like we made some changes to make that less punishing but at the same time we fucked a lot of stuff up for the top 10 player and us essentially kind of like jumping the gun and being like, we're going to do this or that doesn't appeal to any place.
But the people that this experiment was for are now like, what's the point of even trying to get into this if they're going to reset it again?
