So, you know, at Good Leadership, we always think about how do we accelerate the positive and use that to help increase our confidence to go, you know, really clean up the negative? So out of that research, probably the most impo- important thing that happened was a definition.

You know, we, earlier we defined goodness and we defined, d- defined a bunch of concepts that people think are very soft and squishy.

So the definition of healthy accountability is this: It's when people win together in an environment where individuals take personal ownership and embrace the support of the team to deliver quality work on time.

So there are four concepts here, people winning together, individuals taking personal ownership, embracing the support of the team, and delivering quality work on time.

And, uh, I would say that this team has hired and focused on hiring people that have that drive and initiative to, you know, get the work done and take that personal accountability.

So I feel like that's, that's the area where, you know, we're the strongest.

So I find that the team members, you know, they tend to be heads down, and so they'll take that responsibility, and they'll try to drive.

And it's very hard to see when they're struggling because they don't necessarily share the progress of their work at the right cadences and raise their hand when they, when they need help.

And so as I've been getting to know how they work [laughs] and what motivates them, it's balancing that aspect of they want to take ownership, they want to drive it.

And so raising their hand and asking for help from the team is something that is not, not a strength.

Well, I think that's definitely worth working on because, uh, across the research, we've certainly learned that accountability is healthiest when you have a team of people who embrace the support of the team.

Well, I, you know, reflected a lot more on just my past experiences, and so I've worked in a lot of industries.

And so, you know, a very unique career path that has enabled me to see a lot of different leadership styles.
