What if you stopped waiting for your life to become more exciting and started romanticizing the life you already have? You don’t need to move to a new city, have a completely different life, or spend…
Half of it? But I know I've done things.
And romanticizing your life is a great way to do that.
We only live once.
You probably hear that all the time, but it's true.
You do only live once.
So we should make the most of it.
If you were to get hit by a bus tomorrow, would you be content with how you've lived your life so far? If all you know you would think about as you're getting hit by a bus is that you have done absolutely nothing with your life, then there are some serious changes you need to make.
If you know you would be thinking about all the amazing things you have done, then yeah, you're doing it right.
I think I'm somewhere in the middle.
I mean, I would have some regrets for sure, but we all probably would.
But I also have things and memories and people who I would think about and be like, at least I did that in this.
And I made memories in this time I had.
Okay, so it got a little bit dark, but I think I made my point.
These days, society has become all about turning yourself into a 24-7, 365, go-go-go productivity machine, and if you're not doing that, then you're being lazy and useless.
So not true, but we also need to slow the fuck down and absorb the small moments and actually enjoy our lives.
And we need to do that now, not when we're looking back on our life in a few decades and having a million regrets.
We don't need to be on-on mode all the freaking time.
We are allowed to slow down and just exist and be peaceful and live.
Take the time to slow down and actually experience life as it happens to you.
Social media has made us forget that it's perfectly normal to slow down and just be.
So in the rest of today's episode, I just really want to talk about how to make the most of the summer season and how to actually make it worth living.
