Deep Sexy Sultry House - Velvety Grooves VG005

Welcome to the next volume of Velvety Grooves, the electronic playground of The Funk Assassin. This is where the rules loosen, the grooves deepen and my future sound begins to take shape. This session moves through the nocturnal synth-pop of Pet Shop Boys’ West End Girls, the deep emotional pull of Deep Dish and Tracey Thorn’s The Future of the Future, and serious dance-floor heat from Gerd Janson, Talamanca System, Jimi Jules, Pablo Bozzi, Purple Disco Machine, Friendly Fires, Blaze and Dusky. At the heart of the mix are five new and unreleased The Funk Assassin productions: Static Running Through My Veins Shape of You Cold Machines, Burning Skin Static in My Blood Velvet Light These sessions reconnect with the deeper, more adventurous DJ style I had before The Funk Assassin was born in 2018. Consider Velvety Grooves the spiritual successor to my original Andy Haworth era, rebuilt with everything I’ve learned since. The past brought the soul. Now comes the electricity. Welcome to the next chapter. TRACKLIST 1. Pet Shop Boys – West End Girls 2. Deep Dish, Tracey Thorn & Everything But The Girl – The Future of the Future (Stay Gold) 3.
