Champions League Draw REACTION, The Alvarez Debate & Villa Park NEXT! | Fourever Arsenal Podcast

I think where we start, right, is with the, uh, Champions League draw, which was made yesterday.

Um, the day before that was the Carabao Cup draw.

We've got Ipswich away in the Carabao Cup.

But the one that we were all waiting to see was the, the Champions League draw, and this is the draw.

Uh, Real Madrid at home, Bayern Munich away, Dortmund at home, Real Betis away.

We played in, um, of course we played them in pre-season friendly, got beat by them.

Uh, Lille at home, Napoli away, uh, Saba, it's a new team from Azerbaijan, at home, and Slavia Prague, who we also played, uh, last year away, we got them away again.

Um, let's get your reactions, Curtis, to that draw.

R- there's some couple of tasty ones in there, Real Madrid at home and, uh, Bayern Munich away, the obvious standouts.

Yeah, I think the, the Vinicius Jr reunion was always gonna happen, wasn't it? I just felt like that-

[laughs]

... was destiny, wasn't it? I think it's a harder draw than last year.

Slightly more difficult, um, when you look at, like, the lower pots.

We've got decent teams out of there.

You know, Betis had...

That was the game in Ireland I went to.

I know it'd be different.

Um, we should still get through it, but, um, it doesn't give us many opportunities to maybe rotate, you know? There's a lot of games there you think, "Oh, are you gonna have to go full strength to win that one?" There's not many-

many-Many easy ties there.

Bayern Munich away will be tough.

Um, I suppose the only good thing, there's no crazy traveling.

Every game is mainland Europe, couple of hours.

Um, so there's no, you know, four-hour journeys or anything away from home.

So, um, listen, it's, um...

I love this new format, by the way.
